72+ Hour Permaculture Design Course (PDC)

This is a 6-month program, starting April 6th, 2024. We will meet one weekend per month (Friday-Sunday on the first weekend of each month) through September 2024. See below for the Course schedule breakdown.
Join us for a experiential experience in our sacred homestead, Lemu Sacred Regenerative Urban Farm and Permaculture as well as other guest sites. During a six month timeframe, students will have the opportunity for a hands-on experience to engage, learn and share within our 16 year old, slightly over an acre Homestead. The site consists of wild edibles, medicinal and native plants, fruit, nuts and berries, four ponds, an apiary, our new high tunnel and we have cultivated wild mushrooms (winecups and morels). We will also hopefully be adding chickens and ducks in the spring. We practice the concepts of Permaculture, Organic Urban farming and Gardening and Regenerative Sustainability throughout our entire homestead inclusive of composting, vermicomposting hugel-kultur building and keyhole gardening, the use of polycultures and interplanting, utilization of natural materials for building structures and an opportunity for more. We will be utilizing and learning Bill Mollison’s foundational principles. All students would be responsible for purchasing the required textbook.
Folks are welcome to camp on site throughout the weekend. Please bring everything you need to do so (camping gear, sleeping bags, etc.). There are also hotels and Airbnb’s in the area that we can suggest if you prefer to sleep indoors.
A light continental breakfast of coffee , tea, fruit, and bagels will be provided on the Saturday and Sunday mornings of each PDC weekend but students are expected to bring what they need for lunch and dinner if camping overnight.
