— Recap of Delaware Agriculture Month Event on January 13, 2022 —
The Delaware Urban Farm and Food Coalition (DEUFFC) hosted a Delaware Agriculture Month event on January 13th, 2022 that highlighted urban agriculture as it connects to the health and wellness of our communities.
The event featured opening remarks from Nikko Brady, Delaware Department of Agriculture, and Rita Landgraf, former Secretary of the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services. Panel discussion and presentations moderated by Melvina Brown, EdD, Innersource Wellness Center to include panelist Michele Axe, Christiana Care presenting Delaware’s Food-Farmacy project, Crystal Forman, Holistic Wellness and Health, and Marc Williams, Ethnobiologist and board member of Plants and Healers International and United Plant Savers.
